A Day at Hogwarts : Olivia & Maddy

     This week we explored what it would be like if we had a day in Hogwarts. At the beginning of the week, we all took a quiz to see what house we are in. In Harry Potter, there is a sorting hat that decides what team you are in. Since the whole COVID-19 thing, we just did a  fun quiz. Slytherin is cunning and ambitious. Ravenclaw has wisdom and is clever. Hufflepuff is loyal and patient. Gryffindor is brave and daring.     The first thing we did on this fun day at Hogwarts was that we had a quidditch math cup. Each house was on a team. Each team went head to head in division problems to see who could get the most points. The next week we found out that Gryffindor won.     The next thing we did at Hogwarts was we got to free write about a magical creature. We had three options on what to write about the options were a Cerberus, a dragon, and a Hippogriff. On this special day, we even got a shoutout on the radio by Miss Mountain's broth...

Welcome

  Dear 5th Grader,  I hope you have been having a fun filled summer with your family and friends. I can’t wait to meet you and hear all about it! This summer I have been busy working at a summer camp and it has been so fun being outside all day! When I was not at camp, I spent many days swimming, going to the beach, hiking and getting lots of ice cream. I have been lucky enough to go on many adventures to both Cape Cod (my favorite place on earth!) and the White Mountains in New Hampshire! It was awesome going around and exploring new places outside. I found a beautiful new beach to visit at the Cape and went to Mount Washington for the first time!.  I can’t wait for our school year to begin! I have been busy getting ready for an amazing remote start to fifth grade! This will be my first full year at Proctor and I am so excited! Although this school year is a bit different than others, I have everything ready to go! Even though we will not see each other every day in pers...
