A Day at Hogwarts : Olivia & Maddy
This week we explored what it would be like if we had a day in Hogwarts. At the beginning of the week, we all took a quiz to see what house we are in. In Harry Potter, there is a sorting hat that decides what team you are in. Since the whole COVID-19 thing, we just did a fun quiz. Slytherin is cunning and ambitious. Ravenclaw has wisdom and is clever. Hufflepuff is loyal and patient. Gryffindor is brave and daring.
The first thing we did on this fun day at Hogwarts was that we had a quidditch math cup. Each house was on a team. Each team went head to head in division problems to see who could get the most points. The next week we found out that Gryffindor won.
The next thing we did at Hogwarts was we got to free write about a magical creature. We had three options on what to write about the options were a Cerberus, a dragon, and a Hippogriff. On this special day, we even got a shoutout on the radio by Miss Mountain's brother. He even said that we were having a day at Hogwarts at school.
Every week we get a quote and we see who follows that quote. That week's quote was “Working hard is important but there is something that matters more: believing in yourself" -Harry Potter. Miss Mountain kept her eyes out and that week's winner was Jonas.
Every week we have a Rock Paper Scissors contest, it always goes teacher versus classmates. This week it was the teacher versus Hogwarts teams. In the end, Ravenclaw was the Rock Paper Scissors Champion.
Every morning we have a question of the day. The question of the day is to get our brains thinking. That week it was: If you had a magical power, what would it be and what would you do with them? On this day we also got to dress up as someone from Hogwarts! Some people dressed as Harry Potter, some brought stuffed owls, some even brought wands. Miss Mountain even had a robe!
