Our Usual Morning in December

So parents out there usually ask their kids what they did that day. While, we just walk right on by, and ignore them. Then go slump down on the couch and watch tv or video games. Well if you want to know what we’ve been doing in the morning, keep on readin!

First off to start the day we talk about any good news for a few minutes. Then we answer our question of the day, and now it's time to start our real work.  We begin with Math, we have been working on adding and subtracting mixed numbers and fractions. Personally it takes a lot of grit because of how many steps there are to it. But, if that’s what we have to do to become Einstein, then so be it! Anyways… Mrs. Steinburg and Miss. Mountain (our amazing teachers),  give us about five minutes in the main room to warm up for fractions. Then we move into the breakout rooms and start working in our workbooks and whiteboards.

Next, we get off the zoom, if we’re working from home. Then we head to clever for specials. CLEVER is a cool app where your teacher puts whatever links you need, including zoom links. On Monday we do gym, Tuesday we do music, on Thursday we do library and last but not least art on Friday.

We do a lot in specials. In music, we have been learning about something super interesting and cool,  World music!  World music is where we go to different continents and countries of the world.  We have been to Guinea (Africa), Ghana (Africa), Egypt (Africa), and Australia (Australia). That's just some of the places we have been and wrote about, there will be many more to come!

So after we have specials we will come back for snack, where Miss Mountain gives us 4 doors to choose from with numbers. These numbers determine what breakout room we go to. Sometimes Miss Mountain will choose a different theme like snacks or Disney! In the rooms we talk about the door we chose or we will chill.

So! That’s how we start out our December Day in the Mountain classroom!

THE END.
